55 Delhi Street – Nurses’ Residence

A new project by Vesterra Property Management to convert 55 Delhi Street into apartments led me to take
a walk around the building and investigate the property’s history. Built in 1909 as a residence for nursing students at Guelph General Hospital, the building was used for that purpose until the late 1950s when the Children’s Aid Society acquired it. The property is listed on the City of Guelph’s Municipal Register of Cultural Heritage Properties.
